Christopher Carfi is the author of the Social Customer Manifesto blog, which is one of my favorites. He did recently a workshop where he introduced the vendor relationship management concept. This video has been taped and you can watch it here or access it on Christopher's Carfi.

I believe Vendor Relationship Management has great chances to become one of the next revolution of the commerce within the very next few years. The video is a little bit long and the sound so-so, but you should defenitely watch it, especially to see the open-discussion around the technical issue about such a project.
